The Dynarithmic TWAIN Library (DTWAIN) Application Programming Interface For Microsoft Windows 32-bit/64-bit based systems.

The Dynarithmic TWAIN library allows developers to easily add TWAIN image retrieval support from scanners and digital cameras to their applications.    The following environments are supported:

 

         Windows Vista

         Windows 7

         Windows 8.x

         Windows 10

         Windows 11

In addition, 64-bit versions of these operating systems are supported (either running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of DTWAIN).

         

DTWAIN is implemented as a 32-bit and 64-bit Dynamic Link Libraries, where the functions are callable from any language that supports calling DLL functions.

For those who are not familiar with TWAIN, it is advised that you should become familiar with some aspects of TWAIN.  Even though DTWAIN simplifies the intricacies of TWAIN programming to an elementary level, you should always have an idea of what is being done at each step.

 

Basic TWAIN Information

 

Before proceeding, make sure that you read the README.TXT file that is included in the installation.  This file includes last minute information that could not be included in the online help.  The information included in the README.TXT file consists of additional functions and other important information.
